OUR WEALTH; THE VINEYARDS OF CHAMPAGNE COURTIER

The vineyards of Champagne Courtier are located primarily in the Montagne de Reims, a region renowned for its exceptional terroir. In addition, we cultivate vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, home to our Blanc de Noirs and Coteaux Champenois, and in the Côte des Blancs for our Grand Cru Champagne.

Our grapes come mainly from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, enabling us to produce Champagnes of truly exceptional quality. The terroir, with its chalk-rich soils and cool climate, plays a vital role in shaping the unique character of our wines.

Our vineyards are tended with the utmost care, where traditional methods are combined with modern, environmentally friendly techniques.

Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE)

We care deeply about our impact on nature. That is why we are certified with the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) label. This certification focuses on reducing the environmental impact of agriculture.

Sustainable viticulture, respecting both soil and vine is, in our view, the best way to allow the terroir to fully express itself in our Champagnes. Champagne Courtier has been awarded the highest level of HVE certification (Level 3). This includes, among other things:

  • Clear environmental objectives with strict compliance checks
  • Use of entirely natural fertilizers
  • No preventive chemical treatments, only precise and sustainable manual work on the vines when needed
  • Use of pheromone-based pest control instead of chemicals

Our priority is to ensure that our vines can thrive and transmit the beauty of their terroir into our Champagnes.

For example, by paying our harvesters by the hour instead of by the kilo, we ensure that only the very best grapes are handpicked for Courtier.
